The Indie Craft Experience is one of favorite craft organization/events in Atlanta co-founded by our very own Shannon Mulkey and creator of a bardis Christy Petterson! This is their second year doing a holiday pop-up shop, and it is one of the best places to do all of your holiday shopping in one spot. Nestled in the back of Criminal Records Atlanta, you can find handmade gifts from mostly local artists (if not local, the rest are domestic — handmade in the USA!) while having an abundance of gifts for the music/comic book lover in your life in the Criminal Records shop. They’re only open a few more days (through Christmas Eve) and they’re having a great event this Thursday filled with boozy hot cocoa, treats from Bookie Macarons (YUM!), and tote bag giveaways printed by Fallen Arrows and designed by Sarah Watts of Wattsalot.

We love handmade, especially for gifting. Spread holiday cheer along with local, handmade cheer at the same time! It feels great to give someone something you know was made with love by hand, each piece with a truly unique charm to it. The Indie Craft Experience brings this to Atlanta two times a year with their summer and fall craft markets, and their two new shows Wedding Day Hooray (debuted summer 2011 — an incredibly curated DIY wedding marketplace) and Salvage (a new in 2012 modern vintage marketplace — what a good idea!).

Their pop-up shop is something to look forward to, because they bring handmade goods to you for a whole month in case you didn’t make it to one of their markets. The shop set-up is packed with gifts for food-lovers, awesome handmade clothing, purses, wallets, jewelry, soaps, home decor, and more! They close their doors the evening of the 24th, so hurry on down to do your last minute shopping this week! Keep something for yourself — these items don’t have to be for the holidays!
If you’re free this Thursday stop by the shop inside Criminal Records (directions) in Little Five Points and grab a tote bag while enjoying sweet wintry treats! If you can’t make it Thursday, get out there asap before Sunday because these items can’t be beat!
