I recently found out about Georgia Tech’s Craft Center, a rentable space for crafters in the GA Tech community (students, faculty, staff). While we all may not be involved with GA Tech, considering that there are over 20,000 students and faculty, there is sure to be someone that can benefit from this craft space!

The Craft Center is rentable for $25/hour, not bad especially considering crafters tend to travel in packs — splitting between a few people is worth it if you value the space and the range of activities they offer. They make DIY easier with supplies for sale, darkroom use offerings, free ceramics firing, and more. The Play Pen is an open space for all types of making projects, including space for sewing, painting, of whatever else your creative heart desires!
If you’re in the GA Tech community, keep your eyes on the Craft Center website for information about upcoming craft events (different organizations host events throughout the year) and keep it in mind for your next craft get-together. I see some serious adult birthday party potential — who doesn’t love to make something by hand every once in a while?
